Gartner Forecasts Security and Risk Management Spending in India to Grow 12% in 2024

  GenAI-Driven Attacks Require Changes to Application and Data Security Practices and User Monitoring End-user spending on security and risk management (SRM) in India is forecast to total $2.9 billion in 2024, an increase of 12.4% from 2023, according to a new forecast from Gartner, Inc. Niger Dock Overhauls IT Platform

West Nigeria’s Niger Dock is overhauling its existing legacy technology at its headquarters in Snake Island, Lagos, with Avaya’s unified communications and networking infrastructure.



The oil and gas construction and marine services company will deploy Aura solution for mid-size enterprise, in addition to Avaya ERS 4000 and ERS 5000 networking solutions at the core and edge of its communications network. The solution will deliver a complete UC solution, including messaging, conferencing and communications access to mobile and remote workers.



The SIP-enabled, single server communications platform will enable Niger Dock to centrally manage all applications, controlling cost and reducing administration time. The networking switching products will be deployed to ensure Niger Dock has a reliable and fully optimised network able to support its critical communications.

Now facebook hit with international class action privacy suit

An Austrian privacy activist has launched a wide-reaching class action suit against Facebook Ireland for breaching European data protection law. Anyone outside of the US and Canada can join activist and law student Max Schrems' suit via the website fbclaim.com, since they will have signed up to Facebook's terms and conditions via the Dublin-based European subsidiary.
